Utilities is a suite of overlays and visual guides designed to support framing decisions and provide direct in-tool evaluation within a single DCTL. It includes composition aids such as aspect ratio frames, rule-of-thirds guides, and alignment overlays, alongside diagnostic tools like grayscale ramps, hue ramps, hue strips, and middle grey patch generators.

  • Horizontal Guide: Sets the horizontal position of the guide when 'Show Guides' is enabled.

    Vertical Guide: Sets the vertical position of the guide when 'Show Guides' is enabled.

    Grid Divisions: Determines number of horizontal and vertical grid lines.

    Overlay Count: Controls the number of steps or items within each overlay.

    Show Guides: Displays horizontal and vertical guidelines.

    Show Grid: Displays a grid overlay.

    Disable Blanking: Disables letterboxing/pillarboxing.

    Additional Stops: Displays an additional 4 stops above and below middle grey.

    Aspect Ratio: Controls the aspect ratio of the active frame area.

    Overlay: Generates overlays for evaluating other tools.

    Middle Grey: Displays a middle grey patch based on the selected transfer curve.
